Candles
We would always recommend placing your candle or burner on a plate when burning to protect surfaces. We stock a range of beautiful, reasonably priced candle plates, under our accessories section.
Soy candle wax has what’s called a memory. That means that when you burn a soy candle and then extinguish it, the next time you burn it, the soy candle wax will melt across as far as it did the first time. This is why it is so important to allow soy candles to burn all the way across to the edge of the container the first time you burn it before putting it out. This ensures that your soy candle does not “tunnel” as it burns, leaving wax along the sides of the container. A good rule of thumb is to burn your candle 1hr for every inch wide that the candle is. So if you have a 3inch wide soy candle, you may need to burn it for at least 3 hours for a good melt pool. The melt pool is where all the scent is contained so a deep pool will give the best fragrance throw. ¼ inch deep is the size to aim for, if the pool is too deep, the candle will burn too quickly.
Keep your candle away from drafts to avoid soot and smoking as soy candles produce very little soot if burned properly. Keeping your wick trimmed to around ¼ inch will also help with this. If your candle smokes, flickers or the flame becomes too high, extinguish it with a snuffer (available in our accessories section).
Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains to protect the container - our wicks have a built in safety mechanism so will stop burning once the candle is finished.. You can get in touch with us at this point about discounted refills! Extinguish candles carefully before replacing the lid. And most importantly, keep your soy candles away from anything flammable, and out of reach of children and pets.

Direction for Use - Wax Burners
Place the wax melt burner on a level, flat, heat-resistant surface away from draughts, other heat sources and flammable objects. If used on a non-heat resistant surface damage may occur if the wax melt burner is used without a protective plate, tray or similar product.
Insert a tea-light in the bottom base of the wax melt burner.
The wax melt burner will become hot while in use, do not touch while in use, heated wax can cause burns. Allow the burner to cool completely before touching or moving.
Do not allow the pool of wax to completely evaporate so the top bowl becomes dry whilst a tea-light is still lit. This could cause the wax melt burner to scorch and (or) smoke.
Let the wax melt burner completely cool before re-use.
Take care when cleaning the burner and do not use excessive force.
We recommend using 4 hour tealights for most products but our larger burners work better with 8 hour tealights. We recommend extinguishing these after 4 hours.

Room Sprays
Our room sprays are highly concentrated so once you've used some, dillute the remainder with cool, boiled water to prolong the lifespan of your spray. You can use these on fabrics but we recommend doing a patch test first.

Diffusers
We recommend flipping your reeds weekly to help the scent diffuse. Take great care as the fragrance oil can damage furniture and paint work. It is easy to become nose blind with a diffuser and they tend to work best in small confined spaces. If you need replacement reeds or refills, we also sell these.
